Department of Justice Asks Federal Court to Block HB 2's Anti-Trans Provisions
Attorneys for the Department of Justice filed a motion in federal district court late Tuesday seeking to prevent North Carolina officials from enforcing the anti-trans provisions of the state’s controversial anti-LGBT law, known as House Bill 2.
NBA "Does Not Endorse" Current Proposal To Amend North Carolina's Anti-LGBT Law
The NBA has called the underlying law, HB 2, “problematic.” At the same time, however, it is scheduled to host the 2017 All-Star Game in Charlotte. The league’s role in brokering the draft amendment has been questioned since it surfaced.
